The CD provides a brief visual and aural impression of the handicrafts of Palestine and the Middle East.
The wooden screen is hand carved in the "Mashrabiya" style. The musical background is dominated by the "Oud" - a stringed instrument that was likely the precursor of the medieval lute. The oud was played by musicians in the cultured and opulent courts of Baghdad, Cordoba and Granada during the golden age of Arabic-Islamic culture.
